Questions
About Tally Import & Export.
What comes over from Tally?
Masters - ledgers, groups, stock items, units, godowns, batches and MRP - and your vouchers from Tally's Day Book. Opening balances and stock come with them.
Which kinds of business does it handle?
Retail, wholesale, serial number / IMEI items, pharma with batch and expiry, and service businesses.
Which vouchers go back to Tally?
Sale, Sale Return, Credit Note, Purchase, Purchase Return, Receipt, Payment, Income, Expense and Contra, with Tally's own voucher type names.
Will exporting twice double my entries in Tally?
No. Every voucher carries a fixed ID, and a voucher that first came from Tally goes back with its own Tally ID, so TallyPrime updates it instead of adding it again.
Do I need to type my Tally ledger names again?
No. You match StockXPlus names to your Tally ledgers once, and every export after that uses them.
